Hey there! I'm Yoshinori Ono, CEO at Lasengle.
Welcome to my blog and thanks for dropping by!
What a rollercoaster March we had! One minute it was "Seriously? Still cold? Wait--is that SNOW?" and the next thing I knew, I was digging out my shorts and t-shirts without having enjoyed any of those perfect "Spring is here!" days in between.
So, how's April been for everyone?
I finally managed to get my hands on a Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo. It meant a much easier start to my day, well, as easy as being woken up for work can be!
This April, we welcomed 13 bright new faces to the Lasengle family for fiscal year 2025.
They're currently soaking up knowledge from our development and operations teams, plus learning from some industry veterans I deeply respect who've kindly stepped in as instructors.
When it comes to creating entertainment from multiple perspectives, hearing insights from diverse voices is invaluable. Even sitting in on these training sessions today, I still find myself thinking, "Wait, I never knew that!" or "That makes so much sense now!" There are so many eye-opening lessons that remind me just how much I still have to grow as a creator. Nothing like the new employee training season to keep me humble!
Between you and me, I might be learning more from these sessions than our new hires are. (Don't tell them I said that!)
We recently hosted a welcome party in our communal Park area, where Lasengle veterans, last year's rookies (now wise second-years), and our development team all gathered to welcome the newcomers.
I watched over the scene, hoping our veterans were sharing their hard-earned wisdom about surviving the entertainment industry, while our younger team members passed on the pure joy of creating and running games. It was a moment where I felt an almost parental pride at seeing our company culture in action.
The future of Lasengle, the gaming industry, and tomorrow's entertainment is in YOUR hands! And speaking of future talent, while our first application window for 2026 grads closed in March, our second round kicked off on April 21st.
We're also hosting an info session for 2027 graduates at Discover Sony on Live on May 10th. We can't wait to see your applications!
Whether you're dreaming of developing "Fate/Grand Order" with us, curious about game creation, or simply love games more than breakfast, lunch, AND dinner, we'd love to hear from you.
I've always felt that Lasengle has its own unique vibe that sets us apart from typical gaming studios, entertainment companies, or corporate environments. It's not for everyone. Some people will think, "This isn't quite my scene," while others walk in and immediately feel "I've found my family!"
Finding the right workplace matters so much when you're making your mark as a professional. You need somewhere with a culture that feels right, where you're comfortable, and where you can truly become one with your team. Without that foundation, even the most creative job becomes a daily struggle.
If you attend one of our info sessions or open house events and think "I could see myself here," please come chat with us! Let's figure out if we might be the perfect partner for your creative journey.
Ready to create something amazing together at Lasengle?
Until next time!
